Vu Televisions has launched its new Vu Glo Mini-LED TV lineup in India. Designed to offer high-end picture and audio specifications at accessible price points, the series incorporates Quantum Dot Mini-LED display technology, AI-driven video processing, integrated multi-channel audio, and Google TV.
Display and AI Video Processing
The Vu Glo Mini-LED TV utilizes a QD Mini-LED backlight with Full Array Local Dimming, intended to improve contrast ratios through independent control of lighting zones. The panel supports peak HDR brightness of up to 600 nits and offers compatibility with major HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG.
Under the hood, the television is powered by the VuON™ AI Processor alongside G52 HDR Graphics, supported by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The processing unit incorporates several real-world optimization features:
- AI Picture Quality & Upscaling: Optimizes lower-resolution cable, regional, and compressed streaming content.
- AI Colour & Contrast Enhancement: Adjusts frame-by-frame color balance and dynamic range.
Audio and Gaming Capabilities
Unlike standard flat-panel displays that often rely on basic stereo speakers, the Glo Mini-LED includes an integrated 50W 2.2-channel VuFX Audio System. The setup features dual full-range speakers and two dedicated woofers, eliminating the immediate need for a soundbar. Audio formats supported include Dolby Atmos, alongside software features like Dialogue Enhancer and Surround Mode.
For gaming and sports, the television includes:
- 120Hz High-Speed Refresh (HSR) rate and Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation (MEMC).
- Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) to minimize lag when connected to modern gaming consoles.
- Dedicated picture presets for Cricket, Cinema, and Gaming.
Design and Smart Features
Running on the Google TV platform, the TV supports personalized user profiles, major streaming services, built-in Chromecast, Apple AirPlay, and Apple HomeKit. The unit ships with two Bluetooth-enabled voice remotes featuring quick-access hotkeys for picture, sound, and connectivity settings.
On the hardware side, the TV features a three-sided bezel-less design with a charcoal grey finish and a single-wire installation layout. A new software feature, Personalised Photo Frame, allows users to display personal photographs or curated artwork when the TV is idle.
