Amazfit Balance 3 and Balance Ultra with Hybrid Training System announced

Amazfit has introduced the Amazfit Balance 3 and Amazfit Balance Ultra. Unveiled at a launch event in New York during a panel featuring voices from the fitness and HYROX communities, the new smartwatches serve as the primary hardware components for Amazfit’s new Hybrid Training System.

The lineup is designed to integrate performance tracking with data-driven training guidance via the Zepp App, targeting modern athletes who balance high-intensity fitness regimes with professional and daily lifestyle demands.

The Hybrid Training System and Zepp App Integration

The Balance 3 and Balance Ultra act as the hardware foundation of the ecosystem, collecting physiological and lifestyle metrics. The Zepp App functions as the intelligence layer, converting this telemetry into actionable insights across training, recovery, sleep, and stress management.

A core component of this ecosystem is HybridCharge Energy Intelligence, an analytical framework that consolidates three primary metrics:

  • BioCharge: Tracks the user’s current physiological energy and recovery state.
  • LifeLoad: Incorporates context from daily lifestyle stressors and administrative demands.
  • Training Load: Quantifies physical strain induced by exercise.

By synthesizing these variables, the system calculates overall physical capacity, helping users manage their effort between exertion and recovery. Additionally, features such as Weekly Focus and Training Balance assess training distribution across strength, endurance, and recovery, while Hybrid Training Plans provide structured schedules for athletic progression.

Hardware and Performance Comparison

Both models feature 1.5-inch AMOLED displays protected by sapphire glass, capable of reaching up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. They include precision dual-band GPS utilizing a six-satellite positioning system, route guidance, offline map support, and military-grade resistance testing.

Comprehensive Fitness, Health, and Lifestyle Features

The smartwatches provide comprehensive tracking capabilities tailored for both specialized athletic events and overall health tracking.

Specialized Fitness and HYROX Tools

As the official wearable partner of HYROX, Amazfit has integrated dedicated racing and training tools into both models. These include built-in HYROX training plans, race simulations, a HYROX Virtual Pacer, and race-specific workout tracking. Post-race analysis options allow athletes to evaluate pacing, station performance, and cumulative finish times.

For multi-discipline tracking, both watches support over 180 sports modes, automatic recognition of 25 strength exercises, and 8 standard sports movements. Peripheral compatibility allows users to connect external accessories such as heart rate belts, running power meters, and cycling speedometers.

Health and Recovery Analytics

Equipped with the BioTracker 6.0 PPG biometric sensor, the devices offer 24-hour monitoring for heart rate, blood-oxygen saturation, stress levels, and skin temperature. Sleep quality monitoring details sleep stages, REM cycles, sleep heart rate variability (HRV), and breathing quality.

Connected Lifestyle Functions

Smart features integrated into both models include Bluetooth calling, Zepp Flow voice control, voice notes, and on-board media storage. Users can also access daily briefings, weather updates, notifications, and smartphone camera controls (iOS only) directly from the wrist.
