Sony has launched the BRAVIA 7II TV series in India with True RGB technology aimed at improving colour reproduction, contrast, and brightness. The lineup includes 55-inch (140 cm), 65-inch (165 cm), 75-inch (190 cm), and 85-inch (215 cm) models, with a 98-inch (248 cm) variant scheduled for June 2026.
The BRAVIA 7II uses True RGB technology powered by RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro™, which independently controls red, green, and blue LEDs for backlight precision. This enables improved colour accuracy, deeper blacks, reduced blooming, and refined contrast compared to conventional Mini LED displays.
It also features RGB Triluminos Max™ with Luminance Booster, combining wide colour volume with higher brightness output. Smooth Colour Gradation enables finer transitions in dark and bright areas, while X-Wide Angle Pro (available on 65-inch and above models) maintains consistent colour and contrast from wider viewing positions.
The TV is powered by Cognitive Processor XR™, which processes visuals based on human perception. It includes:
- XR Contrast Booster (20) for balanced brightness and contrast
- XR Clear Image for noise reduction and upscaling to near-4K
- XR Motion Clarity™ for smoother motion in fast scenes
For HDR formats, the TV supports Dolby Vision®, HDR10, HLG, and IMAX® Enhanced. It also includes Studio Calibrated Modes for Netflix, Prime Video, and Sony Pictures Core to match creator-intended picture settings.
Audio features include Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X®, along with 3D Surround Upscaling for virtual 5.1.4-channel output. Voice Zoom 3 with AI Sound Separation improves dialogue clarity. Acoustic Multi-Audio+™ (65-inch and above models) aligns sound with on-screen action, while sound-positioning tweeters support bass performance without affecting slim design.
For gaming, the TV supports 4K 120fps via HDMI 2.1, along with VRR, ALLM, and Dolby Vision Gaming. It includes Game Menu 2 for settings like crosshair, black equalizer, and motion blur control. It also supports PS5 features such as Auto HDR Tone Mapping, Auto Genre Picture Mode, and PS Remote Play.
The TV runs on Google TV, offering access to over 400,000 movies, shows, apps, and games. It supports Google Assistant, hands-free voice search, Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2, Apple HomeKit, and Alexa devices. An over-the-air update will add Gemini for Google TV for AI-based recommendations and interaction.
The BRAVIA 7II includes Sony Pictures Core, offering movies and IMAX® Enhanced titles. With Pure Stream™ up to 80 Mbps, it enables streaming quality comparable to 4K UHD Blu-ray. It also includes 10 movie credits valid for 24 months.
The design follows Sony’s Harmonic Presence concept with an Immersive Frame design and Mirage Stand (55–85-inch models). The 98-inch model uses a T-Shape Stand. It includes X-Protection PRO for resistance against dust, humidity, lightning, and power surges, and Eco Dashboard 2 for energy monitoring. The Inclusive Affordable Remote is designed with tactile differentiation and simplified button spacing.
