Lava has launched its latest budget-friendly 5G device, the SHARK 2 5G after teasers. Positioned as a successor to the company’s highest-selling series from its 2025 portfolio, the smartphone aims to provide upgraded features to budget-conscious consumers.
Design and Display
The SHARK 2 5G features a 6.75-inch (17.13cm) HD+ display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations. According to the company, the display efficiency allows for up to 13 hours and 35 minutes of YouTube playback, or roughly 12 hours and 23 minutes of continuous screen-on time.
To enhance durability against daily wear and tear, the device comes with an IP64 rating, indicating resistance to dust and water splashes. The phone will debut in two color options: Sonar Gold and Arya Blue.
Performance, Hardware, and Battery
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an Octa-core 6nm UNISOC T8200 processor. Lava reports that the device achieves an AnTuTu 11 benchmark score exceeding 500,000, indicating capable performance for daily multitasking and media consumption.

Pricing and Availability
Priced at Rs. 11,999, the SHARK 2 5G will be available for purchase across Lava’s retail network starting June 10, 2026 with various consumer financial schemes available at launch.
In line with Lava’s current customer service policy, the SHARK 2 5G includes the “Free Service @ Home” program, providing doorstep after-sales support to consumers across India.
