UFL for Android and iOS soft launch expands globally

Strikerz Inc. has announced the commencement of stage two of its soft launch strategy for UFL on mobile, making the football simulation title available to players across most regions worldwide.

The franchise originally debuted in December 2024 on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S, followed by a PC release in December 2025. According to the developer, the intellectual property (IP) has secured over 7 million registered players globally.

The project has also garnered industry attention due to high-profile backing, including investment from football star Cristiano Ronaldo, who serves as a shareholder in Strikerz Inc.

Tailoring the Console Experience for Mobile Platforms

UFL on mobile aims to translate the core mechanics of the console version into a portable format. The developer notes that the game combines AAA-quality visuals with a mobile-first design philosophy. To accommodate on-the-go gaming, the gameplay loop features:

  • Simplified control schemes
  • Accelerated match sessions
  • Streamlined onboarding processes
  • Preservation of the core, skill-based gameplay identity

Players are able to build and manage their own football clubs by collecting player cards of varying rarities and attributes. Progression systems allow for card upgrades and content unlocking. Additional management mechanics include hiring coaches to secure team bonuses, participating in limited-time player collections, earning Team Pass rewards, and engaging with live-ops content synchronized with real-world football events.

Game Modes and Official Partnerships

The mobile title launches with several distinct modes to cater to different playstyles:

Mode Type Description
Training Mode Allows players to practice core mechanics and controls.
PvE Career Single-player progression against artificial intelligence.
PvP Standard competitive matches against other players.
4v4 Multiplayer A fast-paced team mode where four real users simultaneously control individual footballers.

Licensing agreements form a key part of the title’s ecosystem. A partnership with FIFPRO brings real-life football players into the game, while a collaboration with adidas introduces the official adidas Trionda match ball, branded gear, and exclusive stadium content.

Furthermore, football stars Federico Valverde and Raphinha serve as official project ambassadors; Raphinha specifically guides users through the initial onboarding and early progression mechanics.

Future Outlook and System Requirements

The first major live-ops event scheduled for the title is the Open Tournament, a limited-time competitive bracket where users can earn rewards and complete progression challenges to unlock in-game items.

Strikerz Inc. plans to use this soft launch phase to gather player feedback and analyze gameplay data ahead of future updates. Information regarding the full global release is expected later in 2026.
