realme Buds Air8 Pro with Dual-DAC drivers, LHDC, up to 55dB ANC launched in India for Rs. 6999

realme has launched the realme Buds Air8 Pro, the company’s latest top-end TWS earbuds and the successor to last year’s Buds Air7 Pro in India, as it had announced.

Design

Co-designed by realme and famed designer Naoto Fukasawa, the earbuds feature a unique mirror design and a plateau-style lid with a glossy plate on the stem. Available in Master Black and Master White colourways, these earbuds aim to blend cutting-edge audio tech with everyday lifestyle aesthetics.

These weigh 4.8g per earbud. The design is certified with an IP55 rating, protecting the internals from sweat, dust, and unexpected Indian monsoon splashes.

Audio quality

At the core of the realme Buds Air8 Pro is a premium coaxial dual-DAC driver system featuring an 11mm dynamic bass driver paired with a 6mm micro-planar tweeter. This premium hardware layout is carefully tuned to deliver:

  • Deeper, more resonant bass for EDM and pop.
  • Sparkling treble details and crisp, well-separated vocals.

To make the most of this dual-driver setup, the earbuds support the high-resolution LHDC 5.0 Bluetooth codec.

ANC and AI ENC

They boast an industry-leading 55dB Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) depth.  It automatically reads your environment and scales the noise cancellation level up or down to give you a natural, distraction-free bubble.

Calling performance also receives a massive boost via:

  • The VPU (Voice Processing Unit): Powered by Bone Conduction Technology, it maps the vibrations of your voice to capture speech with pinpoint accuracy.
  • Triple-Mic Setup: Each earbud packs 3 microphones working in tandem with an AI algorithm.
  • 90dB Noise Reduction: It can filter out up to 90dB of ambient environmental chaos, making background traffic or chatter virtually vanish on the recipient’s end.
Low Latency Gaming & Ecosystem Connectivity

For gamers on titles like BGMI and COD Mobile, the realme Buds Air8 Pro delivers a specialized Game Mode featuring an ultra-low latency of just 45ms. This guarantees that audio triggers—like footsteps or gunfire—remain tightly synchronized with visual action.

The earbuds utilize the latest Bluetooth 6.1 protocol for highly efficient and robust wireless stability. They support triple-device connection, wear detection for automated play/pause, and seamless pairing functionality. Android and realme smartphone users will enjoy immediate pairing out of the box via Google Fast Pair and custom pop-up animations.

Battery life

The realme Buds Air8 Pro packs a 62mAh cell per earbud and a 590mAh reservoir in the charging case.

  • Playback: Up to 12 hours on the earbuds alone (Normal Mode) and an impressive total of up to 50 hours combined with the charging case.
  • Fast Charging: A quick 10-minute charge juice-up provides up to 11 hours of music playback over the Type-C port.
