realme already confirmed the launch of realme 16T smartphone in India on May 22nd. It already confirmed the battery details of the phone. Today, it had confirmed the camera specs and new AI-assisted imaging technologies.
Other than the 8000mAh battery, the device’s primary focus is on its camera system and integrated artificial intelligence tools aimed at mobile photography.
Hardware and Camera Specifications
The realme 16T 5G utilizes a Sony sensor for its primary camera, supported by built-in image processing engines to handle various lighting environments.
It will come with a 50MP Sony IMX852 sensor and f/1.8 aperture. A notable hardware addition is a rear-mounted mirror designed to assist users in framing selfies with the main camera that was first introduced in the realme 16.
AI Imaging and Software Features
Realme has detailed several AI-driven software features integrated into the 16T 5G’s camera interface to process portraits and lighting.
- LumaColor IMAGE Engine: This algorithm is designed to optimize skin texture, skin tone, and lighting balance while mitigating lens distortion. It works in tandem with RAW HDR processing and custom white balance tuning to adjust shadows and highlights.
- AI Portrait Glow: A feature intended for low-light, backlit, or uneven lighting conditions. It analyzes lighting on the subject’s face and applies brightness compensation. Users can select from multiple lighting styles, including Flash, Rim Light, Natural Light, and Studio Light.
- AI Popout Collage: A photo composition tool that allows subjects to extend beyond standard photo frames to create multidimensional collages.
- AI StyleMe: A generative tool that includes modes like “AI Profile Portrait” and “AI Football Star,” allowing users to generate stylized avatars and profile pictures.
- AI Instant Clip: A video editing tool that automatically compiles selected photos and videos into short-form, cinematic clips in approximately 10 seconds.
