Xiaomi 17 Max with 6.9″ 1.5K 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 200MP camera, 8000mAh battery to be unveiled this May

Xiaomi has started teasing the launch of the Xiaomi 17 Max, bringing back the Max model in the Xiaomi 17 series in China.

The design is similar to the Xiaomi 17, and the phone will come in black, white and sky blue colours.

Xiaomi has confirmed a 6.9-inch Super Pixel screen, and the company says that it is equivalent to a 2K screen. It will come with a 200MP camera with a 1/1.4″ sensor and f/1.65 aperture and a 3x telephoto camera and Leica optics. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, similar to other phones in the Xiaomi 17 series, and pack an 8000mAh battery, the highest compared to other Xiaomi 17 series phones.

It has also posted a camera sample from the 200MP main camera. According to leaker Digital Chat Station, it will come with 100W flash charging and an f/2.4 ultra-wide-angle lens.

Along with the phone, Xiaomi will also introduce the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro with a lightweight design. As thin as 9.7mm and as light as 21.6g, it offers all-day comfort, said the company, and added that the sleek aluminum alloy body and the smooth, slightly curved screen provide a silky-smooth touch. It promises up to 21 days of battery life.

There is also the Xiaomi Band 10 Pro Ceramic Edition. “The toughness and warmth of ceramic blend seamlessly, redefining the tactile experience.
Paired with a fluoroelastomer wristband, it’s soft, comfortable, and gentle on the skin,” said Xiaomi.

These will be introduced later this May, and we should know the exact launch date soon.
