Samsung’s book-style foldable Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, codenamed H8 and with the model number SM-F971U, has surfaced in a first set of renders, thanks to @OnLeaks. Unlike the standard Fold, this has a wider screen, similar to the first Google Pixel Fold or the OPPO Find N2.
This comes after reports that said that Samsung will stop Galaxy Z TriFold sales after three months of the launch.
It is said to feature a 5.4-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch inner display, smaller than the Galaxy Z Fold 8. The image shows a dual-camera setup with a centre punch-hole for the inner and outer displays.
The device is said to measure 123.9 x 161.4 x 4.9mm when unfolded and 123.9 x 82.2 x 9.8mm when folded. The camera bump is said to be 14.6mm. We can expect Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide is expected to be announced alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 at the Unpacked event sometime in August, priced around USD 2,000 (Rs. 1,87,920 approx.).
