Last week, HUAWEI began teasing the launch of a new tablet in India via Flipkart. Now, the company has updated the landing page, revealing two tablets it is set to launch, the MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte Edition (2025) and the MatePad SE 11″, along with their respective offer prices.
Of late, HUAWEI has been actively launching accessories, including its WATCH GT series smartwatches, bands, and more, through the RTC India distributor and e-commerce platforms. Now, the company has made a bold move by launching a mobile device, with its last device, the MatePad T8, having been released back in 2020.
HUAWEI Tablets in India with HarmonyOS
Considering the models launching in India, these tablets will be running the HarmonyOS global version based on an open-source AOSP image. Consumers need to be aware that these devices won’t be able to run Google Mobile Services (GMS), meaning Google apps won’t work natively. The company is promoting the WPS Office Suite heavily as a productivity suite in the absence of GMS.
HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte Edition 2025
The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte Edition (2025) teaser page suggests that the tablet will feature an 11.5-inch 2.5K (2456 × 1600 pixels) PaperMatte display, an all-metal unibody design with a slim 6.1mm profile, a quad-speaker setup, and will come with a HUAWEI Keyboard. It will pack a large 10,100mAh battery with 40W HUAWEI SuperCharge technology.
This model was released last year in global markets. It runs on HarmonyOS 4.3, offers up to 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, and features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The highlight of the tablet is its PaperMatte display, which uses anti-reflection coatings to eliminate 99% of light interference and reduce screen reflection by 60%.
HUAWEI MatePad SE 11″
The HUAWEI MatePad SE 11″, on the other hand, is an entry-level tablet teased with a starting price of just Rs. 13,749 (with bank offers). It is said to feature an 11-inch WUXGA display, the same all-metal unibody design, a large 7,700mAh battery with 22.5W HUAWEI SuperCharge technology, and support for the HUAWEI M-Pen Lite.
This is again last year’s global model that HUAWEI is bringing to India. It runs HarmonyOS 2.0 out of the box, offers up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and features an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, along with a slim profile of 6.9mm.

The landing page also showcases pricing highlights of both tablets with hashtags and mentions a “6-month No Cost EMI” option.
