After teasers, OnePlus has released new design details for its upcoming smartphone, the OnePlus 15T. The device emphasizes a compact form factor, introduces a new set of themed color options, and utilizes specialized manufacturing processes for its hardware.
Display and Build
The OnePlus 15T features a 6.32-inch flat display, which the company states is optimized for one-handed use. A notable design specification is the device’s screen-to-body ratio, characterized by uniform 1.1mm bezels across all four sides.
The physical build continues the brand’s flat and minimalist design language, incorporating rounded corners for ergonomics. The rear of the device features a unibody “metal cube” Deco design that sits flush against the back panel rather than protruding.
New Color Variants
OnePlus has introduced three new color options for the 15T, all themed around chocolate:
- Pure Cocoa: A deep, solid brown.
- Relaxing Matcha: A distinct matcha green.
- Healing White Chocolate: A monochromatic, all-white variant.
Manufacturing Details: The All-White Edition
The company highlighted the specific engineering processes behind the “Healing White Chocolate” colorway. The goal for this model was to create a completely unified white aesthetic by ensuring both the back panel and the metal frame share the exact same color.
To achieve the white finish on the metal frame, OnePlus utilized a micro-arc oxidation process. This industrial technique alters the metal’s surface to create a durable, pure white finish. According to OnePlus China head Louis Jie, the extensive processing and monochromatic design make this specific variant a unique offering in the current market for compact smartphones.
