OPPO India launches OPPO Premier League 2026

OPPO India has launched OPPO Premier League (OPL) 2026, a corporate cricket tournament designed to enhance employee engagement and strengthen ties across the electronics and manufacturing ecosystem.

The league, which begins today in Noida, is scheduled to run through March 2026. This initiative represents a strategic move to move beyond standard internal corporate programs by involving a wide array of industry stakeholders through sports.

Industry-Wide Collaboration

The OPL 2026 brings together a diverse group of 23 partner organizations. The tournament features participants from various sectors of the technology and manufacturing landscape, including

  • Manufacturing & Tech Partners: Dixon, XIHU Tech, and Lava.
  • Industry Peers: vivo, BPL, and Haier.
  • Logistics & Supply Chain: Various other ecosystem partners.

By including competitors and collaborators on the same pitch, the league aims to foster a spirit of camaraderie and professional networking that transcends traditional business interactions.

Focus on Workplace Culture

According to the company, the league is rooted in a “culture-led” philosophy. The primary objectives of the OPL include:

  1. Employee Well-being: Encouraging physical activity and team spirit among staff.
  2. Inclusive Environment: Creating a space where different levels of the organization and partner firms can interact.
  3. Ecosystem Synergy: Strengthening long-term associations with industry peers in a non-formal setting.
Opening Day Proceedings

The Opening Day ceremony in Noida will mark the start of the season. The agenda includes a ceremonial kick-off, formal introductions of the participating teams, and the scheduling of the first set of matches. Organizers aim to set a tone that blends healthy competition with a shared sense of purpose among the competing organizations.

Through the OPPO Premier League, OPPO India aims to reinforce its commitment to fostering positive sentiment across its extended business ecosystem.

Commenting on the initiative, Rakesh Bhardwaj, Board Member and Director of Public Affairs at OPPO India, said:

The OPPO Premier League 2026 is a reflection of our people-first philosophy in action. It is more than a cricket tournament; it is a celebration of trust and cross-functional collaboration that is driven by shared purpose. By bringing our extended ecosystem onto one field, we aim to encourage a healthy competitive spirit, and reinforce a culture where people grow together—both professionally and personally.
