Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of REDMI Turbo 5 Max, the company’s next phone in the REDMI Turbo series and the successor to last year’s Turbo 4 / Turbo 4 Pro, in China by the end of this January.
The teaser says “The 2026 Mid-range performance battle” and “Beginning is the end”. Xiaomi smartphone head Lu Weibing said that the Turbo 5 Max will be the best choice in the 2.5K yuan price range for 2026.
Leaker Digital Chat Station says that the REDMI Turbo Max will debut a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chip that will feature a full-fledged large cache and a massive GPU with performance expected to rival the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
He added that the phone will boast a massive battery, 100W fast charging, and the fastest reverse charging, along with a fully equipped camera. The Dimensity 9500s is said to be a rehashed Dimensity 9400+.
To remind you, the REDMI Turbo 4 Pro has a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC and a 7550mAh (typical) battery with 90W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse fast charging. It was launched in India as POCO F7 in mid-2025, but there are no details about the POCO F8 yet, after the F8 Pro and F8 Ultra were launched in global markets a couple of months back.
