MSI unveils 32″ 4K QD-OLED gaming monitors ahead of CES 2026

MSI has announced an update to its 32-inch 4K QD-OLED gaming monitor lineup, introducing two new models designed for different user needs. The new additions are the MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 and MAG 321UP QD-OLED X24.

Both monitors are built on the latest third-generation QD-OLED panel technology and focus on improvements in brightness efficiency, contrast consistency, and long-term panel durability.

Panel architecture and shared display features

Both models use a third-generation, 5-layer Tandem OLED panel based on EL Gen 3 technology. This architecture is designed to improve luminous efficiency while extending panel lifespan, setting a new baseline for MSI’s 32-inch 4K QD-OLED lineup.

DarkArmor Film

Both monitors feature DarkArmor Film, a display surface technology developed to enhance light absorption and reduce the purple or reddish tint commonly visible on QD-OLED panels under ambient lighting conditions. According to the company, this improves pure black levels by up to 40%, resulting in higher contrast performance.

The film also increases screen surface hardness from 2H to 3H, delivering up to 2.5 times better scratch resistance, helping the panel withstand regular daily use.

Uniform Luminance

The two models include Uniform Luminance, a feature designed to reduce abrupt brightness shifts typically seen in HDR scenarios. Users can customise the HDR brightness curve, with brightness output linked to different display window sizes. This approach helps maintain consistent luminance across gaming, media playback, and general desktop use.

HDR support

Both monitors support DisplayHDR True Black 500, enabling deeper black levels and controlled highlights suited to OLED-based HDR content.

MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24: AI-based panel care

The MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 includes additional hardware aimed at intelligent panel protection. It features MSI’s AI Care Sensor, powered by an NPU-based IC.

The system runs real-time human detection algorithms to identify user presence. Based on this detection, the monitor can automatically manage power states and activate panel protection functions when required. This mechanism is designed to reduce unnecessary panel wear and burn-in risk without disrupting active usage.

MAG 321UP QD-OLED X24: core display-focused configuration

The MAG 321UP QD-OLED X24 retains the same third-generation 5-layer Tandem OLED panel, DarkArmor Film, Uniform Luminance feature, and DisplayHDR True Black 500 support.

This model does not include the AI Care Sensor and focuses on delivering MSI’s latest QD-OLED display and durability improvements without AI-driven panel management.

Availability

MSI said that additional information regarding pricing, regional availability, and launch timelines for its upcoming QD-OLED gaming monitors will be shared closer to their release in 2026.
