OPPO India has announced the winners of the OPPO Photography Awards 2025, powered by LUMO. The second edition of the photography contest received over 30,000 entries from across India, focusing on smartphone-based visual storytelling.
OPPO Photography Awards 2025
The awards were organised around the theme “Super Every Moment”, highlighting how everyday scenes and experiences can be captured through mobile photography.
National winners
Following evaluation of entries from across the country, three photographers were selected as national winners:
- Gold: Soumyasikha Manna (West Bengal) for a photographic portrayal of the life of a specially abled tribal man
- Silver: Prathamesh Ganesh Shinde (Maharashtra) for capturing the traditional Indian sport of Mallakhamb
- Bronze: Shubham Keshari (Uttar Pradesh) for documenting daily life in Varanasi
Prize money awarded to the national winners includes Rs. 5,00,000 for Gold, Rs. 2,00,000 for Silver, and Rs. 1,00,000 for Bronze.
Categories and selection process
The 2025 edition marked the second year of the OPPO Photography Awards in India. Participants competed across nine categories:
Super Snap, Super Youth, Super Live, Super Me, Super Vibe, Super Story, Super Connection, Super Culture (in partnership with Discovery Channel), and Super Environs.
From the initial pool of submissions, 40 photographers were shortlisted for Round 2. These participants captured images using the OPPO Find X8 Pro.
Entries were evaluated by a jury that included photographer Joseph Radhik and Vikram Channa, Vice President at Warner Bros. Discovery, along with other photography and editorial professionals.
Category winners
In addition to the national awards, winners were announced across individual categories. These winners will receive OPPO’s latest flagship smartphone from the Find X9 series.
- Super Snap: Rishika Umrey (Madhya Pradesh)
- Super Youth: Pramit Das (West Bengal)
- Super Live: Joel Jaswa (Tamil Nadu)
- Super Me: Pradiptamoy Paul (West Bengal)
- Super Vibe: Jayaraj T P (Kerala)
- Super Story: Somenath Mukhopadhyay (West Bengal)
- Super Connection: Chiranjit Dey (West Bengal)
- Super Culture: Dikshit Mundra (Himachal Pradesh)
- Super Environs: Pramit Das (West Bengal)
Global recognition
The global edition of the OPPO Photography Awards 2025 received nearly two million entries from 87 countries, marking the largest participation in the contest to date.
Two Indian photographers received Regional Awards at the global level. Captured on the OPPO Find X8 Pro, Rohit was recognised for Windows of Innocence, while Shahid Mushtaq received the award for Life on the Lake: A Kashmir Morning.
LUMO imaging system
The OPPO Photography Awards are powered by the LUMO Imaging System, which combines camera hardware, computational photography, and software-based image processing for smartphone photography.
