HUAWEI expanded its tablet portfolio in China with the launch of the MatePad 11.5 (2026), alongside the nova 15 Series. The tablet is offered in Standard, Soft Light, and Full Network versions, designed for learning, entertainment, and general usage.
The device features a full metal unibody made through aluminum extrusion forging and bending processes, reducing thickness by 10 percent while increasing structural strength by 30 percent. Rounded micro-arc edges improve grip comfort. Dimensions are 262.6 × 177.5 × 6.1 mm, and it weighs about 515 g.
The display supports a 2.5K resolution of 2456 × 1600 pixels, delivers up to 600 nits of peak brightness, has a pixel density of 256 PPI, and features an adaptive refresh rate that switches between 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz. Additional display features include:
- Soft Light Version includes nano magnetically controlled optical coating that reduces reflectivity by 60 percent
- Nano-etching anti-glare technology eliminates up to 99 percent of ambient interference light
- Circular polarization technology converts linearly polarized light into circular light to simulate natural lighting
- DC dimming and automatic brightness adjustment included
- Hardware-level low blue light protection
- Soft Light Version has SGS Low Visual Fatigue 2.1 Gold Certification and TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light and flicker-free performance
- Standard Version has TÜV Rheinland certification for hardware-level low blue light and circular polarization display
The rear camera is 13MP with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus, while the front camera is 8MP with an f/2.0 aperture. The Standard Version is powered by the Kirin T82B processor, while the Soft Light Version uses the Kirin T82 processor. The tablet runs HarmonyOS 5.1 and is available with 8GB or 12GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage.
A three-dimensional heat dissipation matrix improves performance stability during extended use. The tablet has a 10,100 mAh battery (10,000 mAh rated) that supports up to 14 hours of local video playback and 40W fast charging. It features quad speakers and two microphones with HUAWEI Histen 9.0 audio technology, and hidden dual antennas enhance Wi-Fi connectivity.
