HUAWEI has officially launched the Mate 80 Series in China, comprising four models: Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max, and Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design.
HUAWEI Mate 80
The Mate 80 features a dual-ring design and is available in Spruce Green, Morning Gold, Snowy White, and Obsidian Black. Its construction combines second-generation Kunlun Glass with ultra-durable brocade fiber, providing enhanced drop and impact resistance, and IP68/IP69 ratings for water and dust protection.
Powered by the Kirin 9020 chipset and HarmonyOS 6, it achieves a 35% performance improvement through deep coordination across hardware, software, and cloud systems. The Outdoor Exploration Mode supports navigation with maps and compass tools, over 10,000 curated routes, emergency satellite communication, and peer-to-peer calls over 2.4 GHz up to 7 km.
The Mate 80 has a 6.75-inch OLED display (FHD+, 1–120 Hz LTPO), 12/16 GB RAM, 256/512 GB storage, and a 5750 mAh battery with 66 W wired / 50 W wireless charging.

Connectivity and AI Features
All models support dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz, Wi-Fi 6/6E), Bluetooth 6.0 with high-quality codecs, NFC, and multi-frequency GPS systems. Satellite communication is available via Tiantong (RS Ultimate) and Beidou. USB Type-C and HUAWEI HiPlay provide wired and wireless audio streaming.
The devices run on HarmonyOS 6 and include AI features such as the Xiaoyi assistant, capable of task learning, repeat orders, cross-device file transfer, dynamic portrait generation, emotion-aware themes, AI subject tracking with gimbals, and AI one-click video creation. Users can interact with an animated character companion that responds to gestures and expressions.
