LG Smart TVs now support cloud gaming with Xbox app in India

LG Electronics India Limited has launched the LG Gaming Portal, enabling console-free gaming on LG Smart TVs. The portal integrates with Xbox, providing access to over 4,000 cloud-streamed games and 600 free single- and multiplayer titles. The Xbox app serves as a single platform for users to access high-performance cloud gaming.

The LG Gaming Portal acts as a central hub for webOS gaming. It combines content from multiple partners, allowing users to access thousands of global and indie titles instantly without the need for a console.

Xbox App on LG Smart TVs

The Xbox app is now available on LG Smart TVs in India. With Xbox Game Pass, a compatible controller, and a stable internet connection, users can stream games including Forza Horizon 5, Call of Duty®: Black Ops 7, and Raji: An Ancient Epic directly via cloud gaming.

Gaming Performance and Specifications

LG Smart TVs support high-performance gaming with features including:

  • G-Sync compatibility
  • Variable refresh rates up to 165Hz (VRR)
  • Intertek-certified 0.1ms Pixel Response Time
  • AMD FreeSync Premium
  • Clear MR 10000 certification

These specifications aim to reduce lag and motion blur.

Note: Gaming features may vary depending on the LG TV model, including the OLED G5.

Availability

The LG Gaming Portal, including the Xbox app, is being rolled out to compatible 2021–2025 LG webOS Smart TV models in India. Users can access it through the LG home screen and begin playing with an Xbox Game Pass subscription. The rollout will be phased across major cities via software updates.
