realme GT8 Pro launched in India starting at Rs. 72,999

realme just launched the GT8 Pro, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India, as it had promised. It packs a 6.79: 2K 144Hz HyperGlow Display with a peak brightness of 7000 nits, 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, and 360Hz four-finger sampling rate.

It is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The phone packs, 7000mm² VC, the largest VC in realme’s history.  There is self-developed AI Gaming Super Frame technology, for unlimited full FPS in all major high-load games, sustaining 144Hz for MLBB and 120Hz for BGMI even under extreme temperatures of 35°C, said the company.

It runs realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16, feauring customizable interface with Light Glass Design—including Ice Cube Icons and a Misty Glass Control Center. It will  get 4 years of OS version updates and 5 years of security updates.

The phone features Symmetric Master Acoustic Speaker, Ultra Haptic Motor, and comes with the world’s first Switchable Camera Bump. This allows users to detach and replace the camera islands with different styles — round, square, robot-theme. Users can unscrew, swap, and reattach camera modules like building blocks, enjoying a tactile, ceremonial customization experience.

realme has partnered with Ricoh Imaging Company, so the realme GT 8 Pro will be the first device to feature a camera system co-engineered by the two companies, incorporating features from Ricoh’s acclaimed GR series. realme GT8 Pro is the first realme phone to feature a 200MP 3x Telephoto lens. Equipped with a 1/1.56″ sensor, promising sharp, vivid shots even at 12X lossless zoom.

It has a 50MP 1/1.56″ main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 116° field of view. The phone has 4K 120fps Dolby Vision recording, 8K 30fps ultra-high-resolution recording, and 4k 120fps 10-bit Log format.

The phone packs a 7000mAh second-generation Titan battery, paired with 120W charging for 100% charge in under 45 minutes and 50W wireless flash charging that takes just 15 minutes to charge the phone up to 50%.

There is also a realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition co-created with Aston Martin Aramco F1® Team featuring iconic Aston Martin Racing Green and vibrant Lime Essence, a central silver Aston Martin emblem, and a bespoke F1-themed user interface.

From the AMR25 dynamic wallpaper to track-sound GT Mode, every detail is crafted to evoke the adrenaline and sophistication of motorsport, said the company.
