vivo and iQOO confirmed the devices that will get the OriginOS 6 update when it was introduced for the global markets last month. At that time, the iQOO Neo 10, Neo 10R, Neo9 Pro were only there and the iQOO Neo 7 and Neo 7 Pro that were launched in 2023 were not in the list.
At the launch of the phones, the company said that those will get 2 Android updates and 3 years of security updates. The phones were launched with Android 13 with Funtouch OS 13, and got the Android 14 and Android 15 updates.
Today, the company has confirmed that both the iQOO Neo 7 and Neo 7 Pro smartphones will get one more update to Android 16 with OriginOS 6, which is a welcome move since several users have been asking for the update for months.
OriginOS 6 roll out for the iQOO 13 and iQOO 12 begins this November, and the roll-out for other devices will start from December 2025, and continue till H1 2026. The iQOO Neo 7 and the Neo 7 Pro will get the update in the first half of 2026, and the exact roll-out timeframe should be available closer to the roll-out.
