Xiaomi just introduced the Xiaomi 17, the company’s latest flagship smartphone, at an event in China, as it had promised. The phone features a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED flat M10 LTPO panel with 1-120Hz refresh rate, and 1.18mm ultra-narrow uniform bezels.
The phone is equipped with a domestically produced “new red light-emitting main material”, has achieved world-leading luminous efficiency for the first time, with a peak brightness of up to 3500 nits. The phone has Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass, which is 10 times more drop resistance, said the company.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and three-dimensional ring-shaped cooling system, boasting three times the performance of traditional VCs. Even in heavy gaming and high-temperature environments, it runs cool and stable,
delivering peak performance and energy efficiency, says Xiaomi.
The phone has triple rear cameras with a 50MP 1/1.31″ 1.2μm Light Fusion 950 sensor, f/1.67 aperture, 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 2.6X telephoto camera, all with Leica Summilux lens and uses Xiaomi AISP 2.0 computational photography platform. The front camera has been upgraded from 32MP to 50MP.
The Xiaomi packs a 7000mAh battery, with a silicon content of up to 16%,
offering ultra-high energy density, exceptional low-temperature endurance, and a five-year lifespan. There is 100W Xiaomi Surge Wired Charging and 50W Xiaomi Surge Wireless Charging.

Pricing and availability
The Xiaomi 17 comes in Snow Mountain Pink and Ice Melt Blue with transparent matte texture and there is also classic black and white color.
It is priced at 4499 yuan (US$ 630 / Rs. 55,880 approx.) for 12GB + 256GB, 4799 yuan (USD 672 / Rs. 59,700 approx.) for 12GB + 512GB, 4999 yuan (USD 700 / Rs. 62,185 approx.) for 16GB + 512GB model.
The phone is now available to order in China and will go on sale from September 27th.
