Along with the 15T series, Xiaomi at its event introduced the REDMI Pad 2 Pro, the company’s latest tablet and the successor to last year’s REDMI Pad Pro.
The tablet has a 12.1-inch 2.5K display with 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, DC dimming and triple TÜV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light (Hardware Solution), Flicker-Free, and Circadian Friendly viewing.
The REDMI Pad 2 Pro Matte Glass Version features an upgraded AG nano-texture screen that reduces glare and reflections by up to 97%, while offering a paper-like surface ideal for reading, sketching, or note-taking, said the company. The tablet features a quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio and volume boost of up to 300%.
The tablet is powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, a major upgrade compared to Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 in the predecessor. There are accessories such as REDMI Smart Pen with 4096 pressure levels and millisecond-grade ultra-low latency. The REDMI Pad 2 Pro Keyboard offers spacious 16×16mm keys, 1.3mm key travel, and 19mm key pitch. It also includes a built-in stylus loop to keep the pen within easy reach.
The REDMI Pad 2 Pro packs a 12000mAh (typ) battery —one of Xiaomi’s largest tablet batteries in the global market and comes with 33W fast charging as well as 27W wired reverse charging to double up as a portable power bank for other devices on the go.
