HONOR just introduced the HONOR Magic V5, the company’s next flagship foldable phone for the global markets, as it had announced. The Magic V5 builds on the legacy of the Magic V3 with improvements in design, durability, AI integration, battery, and imaging.
The Ivory White model is the slimmest, measuring 8.8mm folded and 4.1mm unfolded, weighing 217g. The 7.95-inch inner display and 6.43-inch2 outer screen both support stylus input, while Multi-Flex mode enables multitasking with up to three apps simultaneously.
Both displays support HDR Vivid, Dolby Vision, and ZREAL, with peak brightness up to 5000 nits. For comfort, they offer 4320Hz PWM dimming, motion relief, natural light adjustment, and low-power LTPO eye protection.
Running MagicOS 9.0, the HONOR Magic V5 integrates Google Gemini with quick double-tap shortcut, AI-powered HONOR Notes, real-time transcription and translation, and creative tools such as AI Image to Video and AI Cutout. The Super Steel Hinge is built to endure 500,000+ folds and strength surpassing steel at 2300 MPa, says HONOR.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, the HONOR Magic V5 features the AI Falcon Camera System with a 64MP Ultra Sensing Periscope Telephoto, 50MP Main, and 50MP Ultra-Wide cameras. Enhanced by the AI HONOR Image Engine, it supports advanced photography tools like AI Enhanced Portrait, AI Super Zoom, and Motion Sensing Capture.
The phone packs a 5820mAh silicon-carbon battery, has IP58 and IP59 ratings, Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield, and a Carbon Fiber Reinforced Inner Display Panel provide robust durability for everyday use.
