Expanding the Odyssey 3D Gaming Ecosystem
Samsung is broadening its glasses-free 3D gaming ecosystem with new partnerships for its Odyssey 3D monitor (G90XF model). At Gamescom, Samsung announced collaborations with game publisher Netmarble and developer SHIFT UP. As a result, attendees can experience titles like Netmarble’s “MONGIL: STAR DIVE” and SHIFT UP’s “Stellar Blade” in 3D for the first time.
The Odyssey 3D monitor features adjustable focal distance and customizable 3D settings that allow players to control 3D depth. The Odyssey 3D Hub, the monitor’s dedicated content platform, currently supports over 25 3D games, including “The First Berserker: Khazan.”
The library is expected to grow to more than 50 3D-supported games by the end of the year, with new titles such as “Lies of P: Overture,” “Stellar Blade,” and “MONGIL: STAR DIVE.”
Samsung Partners with Top Studios to Showcase OLED Monitors
Samsung is also collaborating with leading game studios, including Blizzard and Pearl Abyss, to showcase its Odyssey OLED monitors. The company is providing its flagship displays, including the 500Hz Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF model) and the 4K, 240Hz Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF model), at partner booths throughout the exhibition.
The World of Warcraft booth is using more than 80 Odyssey OLED G6 monitors for fans to experience the game’s new housing systems. Meanwhile, Pearl Abyss is showcasing its upcoming game “Crimson Desert” on around 180 units of the Odyssey OLED G6 and Odyssey OLED G8. These installations are intended to allow visitors to view the games’ graphics on displays with high picture quality.
