Bharti Airtel and Google have announced a collaboration to provide Airtel customers with a Google One cloud storage subscription service. This partnership aims to address the common issue of limited device storage by offering six months of 100 GB Google One cloud storage at no additional cost to all postpaid and Wi-Fi customers.
This storage can also be shared with up to five other individuals. Google One storage provides members with 100 GB of cloud storage for use across Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail.
The service also facilitates easier device transitions for Android users by backing up WhatsApp chats to Google Account storage. The cloud storage solution is compatible with both Android and iOS devices, catering to a broad range of Airtel customers.
As an introductory offer, the 100 GB cloud storage is provided free for the initial six months from the date of activation. Customers can access this offer through the Airtel Thanks App.
Following the six-month complimentary period, a monthly fee of Rs. 125 will be added to the customer’s bill. Customers have the option to discontinue the subscription if they choose not to continue as a Google One member.
Commenting on the offer, Siddharth Sharma, Director Marketing and CEO – Connected Homes, Bharti Airtel, said:
