In January of this year, HONOR confirmed the introduction of the Magic5 series for global markets. Today, it has introduced the Magic5 and Magic5 Pro at the MWC 2023.
The HONOR Magic5 Pro follows the design language of its predecessor up to the Eye of the Muse. It features a Quad-curved floating screen, 6.81-inch 120Hz OLED LTPO Adaptive Dynamic Refresh Rate, Super Dynamic vivid display, up to 1800 nits of peak brightness, 1.07 Billion Color display and 461 PPI Pixel Density.
It also has up to 2160Hz High-Frequency PWM Dimming, Dynamic Dimming and Circadian Night Display for a comfortable viewing experience. This is the first mobile phone to get the TÜV Rheinland Circadian Friendly Certification. The device is certified with both HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced.
The device comes with a triple camera set-up, including a 50MP Wide Main Camera (f/1.6), a 50MP Ultra Wide Camera (f/2.0), and a 50MP Periscope Telephoto Camera (f/3.0, 3.5x Optical Zoom, 100x Digital Zoom, OIS). It also has a 8×8 dTOF Laser Focusing System and an Ultra Wide camera that supports 2.5cm Macro photography.
The Magic5 Pro offers HONOR Falcon Camera algorithm and AI Motion Sensing Capture. This allows the phone to select the best shot from multiple shots taken within 1.5 seconds before and after pressing the shutter. The Magic5 Pro features a 12MP Front Camera + 3D Depth Camera on the front.
The HONOR Magic5 Pro offers hardware-level protection for users’ data through its Dual-TEE Security System co-developed with Qualcomm. It is equipped with a Discrete Security Chipset to safeguard passwords and biometrics such as face IDs and fingerprints. The HONOR Magic5 Pro features AI Privacy Call 2.0 with Sound Energy Spatial Control Technology, an industry first.
HONOR Magic5 Pro earned the top spot on the DXOMARK global camera ranking with 152 points. HONOR also collaborated with Guinness World Records to use the Magic5 Pro to capture the exciting moment of an official world record attempt for the World’s Highest Between The Legs Slam Dunk.
The HONOR Magic5 Pro and Magic5 features the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform from Qualcomm, providing a powerful performance for productivity and entertainment. Its industry-first Wi-Fi and Bluetooth standalone antenna architecture boosts Wi-Fi performance by 200% and reduces latency by 30%. Furthermore, the HONOR Magic5 Pro has IP68 water and dust resistance.
On the other hand, The HONOR Magic5 features the same design and display technology as the Pro variant, with a 6.73-inch 120Hz OLED display, 1073.7million colors, 438 PPI and 1600 nits peak brightness.
The HONOR Magic5 has a triple camera set-up: a 54MP Wide Main Camera with an aperture of f/1.9, a 50MP Ultra Wide Camera with an aperture of f/2.0, and a 32MP Telephoto Camera with an aperture of f/2.4, 2.5x Optical Zoom, 50x Digital Zoom, and OIS. On the front, there is a single 12MP Front Camera.
On the software side, MagicOS 7.1, based on Android 13, offers features like MagicRing for multi-device collaboration and Magic intelligent text recognition, which powers the HONOR Magic5 Series. Both the devices feature a 5100mAh battery, driven by HONOR 66W SuperCharge. The HONOR Magic5 Pro supports max 50W Wireless SuperCharge.

- HONOR Magic5 Pro: €1199 (US$1270 / Rs. 1,05,030 approx.) for 12G+512GB. It comes in Meadow Green, Black, and Glacier Blue. Also, available in two leather finishes: Coral Purple and Orange.
- HONOR Magic5: €899 (US$952/ Rs. 78,750 approx.) for 8G+256GB. It comes in Blue and Black.
The HONOR Magic5 Series will be available starting from Q2, 2023 and available at the HONOR online store.
