OPPO Realme 1 with 6-inch FHD+ display, up to 6GB RAM, Android 8.1, Face unlock launched in India starting at Rs. 8990

Earlier this month OPPO and Amazon India partnered to introduce the Realme smartphone brand, and it had promised it has launched the Realme 1 smartphone in the country. It packs a 6-inch FHD+ display with 1.98mm slim bezels on the sides and 84.8% screen-to-body ratio, but it doesn’t have a notch like the OPPO A3 that was introduced recently. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 12nm SoC with up to 6GB of RAM and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with ColorOS 5.0 on top.

It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED and an 8-megapixel camera on the front. It has face unlock that can unlock the phone in 0.1 second, but doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor. The camera has AI stickers, AI beauty mode that learns and improves the beautification based on user preference and  AI real selfie that can recognize 296 recognition points based on sex, age, skin color, skin
tone/condition and precisely get your face information.

It features a glossy back and a symmetrical design that makes the phone look like a diamond with each angle reflecting and shinning different black colors. It has dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slots with dual VoLTE support that lets you use 4G and VoLTE on both the SIMs and switch between them easily.

It packs a 3410mAh battery that uses AI battery management that learns your patterns and habits over time and snoozes or closes inactive apps to save power. It promises 15 hours of battery life even with heavy use.

The Realme 1 comes in  Moonlight silver and Diamond black colors, is priced at Rs. 8990 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs Rs. 10990 and the top-end 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs Rs. 13,990. It also comes with free screen guard and case in the box.

It will be available from Amazon.in starting from May 25th starting with 3GB and 6GB RAM versions and the 4GB RAM version will be available in June. At the launch the company said that the company has two R&D centres, two manufacturing plans and over 500 service centers across India and also promises 1-hour guaranteed service for most cases.
