Meizu MX5 Flyme OS 5.1.3 update starts rolling out in India

Meizu launched the MX5 smartphone running Flyme OS 4.5 based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) in India back in August last year, priced at Rs. 19,999. Today the company has released Flyme OS 5.1.3 stable update based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) for the Indian users finally. The Flyme OS 5.0.0.1A stable update for the Chinese users was released in October last year.

The latest update brings intuitive and simple system app layout, smooth transition animation, over 300 features, over 1000 enhancements, Boot animation of Taj Mahal and a ringtone for India, Dynamic new settings page design layout and optimized battery consumption (11% more battery left after 5 hours of heavy usage).

The Flyme OS 5.1.3.0IN update for the smartphone is 817MB in size and can be downloaded from here. You need to copy it to the root of the phone and manually flash it using recovery (power + volume up, once you get Meizu logo, press the volume up twice to enter into recovery and update).
