Google Play Store in India now boasts of apps and games starting at Rs. 10

Google has reduced prices of various popular apps and games in Indian Play Store. The apps have received a major price cut and they now start from as low as Rs 10.

The latest move comes after Google reduced the minimum purchase price of the app from Play Store in India to Rs 10. Apps like Facetune, Age of Zombies or games like Fruit Ninja are now available for Rs 10 on the Play Store. In addition, there are special in-app-products at Rs.10 in games like Stick Cricket and Real Cricket while Talking Tom allows you to buy goodies for Rs.20.

We hope this lower price point makes it easier for people in India to get access to the apps and games they love at a great price”

said Alistair Pott, Product Manager, Google Play in a blog post.

The new low priced apps are present under the featured games and apps collections on Google Play Store.  Google launched Play Gift cards in India in June that are dubbed as Google Play Prepaid vouchers.
