HTC One M8 EYE vs One M8 Photo Gallery

HTC announced the One M8 Eye in China last month and it soon was launched in India for Rs 38,990. We have already seen the photo gallery of the One M8 Eye and now lets compare the phone with HTC One M8 that was announced back in February and launched in India in April for Rs 49,990.

HTC One M8 Eye sports a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display and is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU. While the One M8 has a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display with Corning Gorilla glass protection, powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. Both the devices run on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and has a layer of HTC Sense 6 UI on top. Also both the phones have 2 GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 128GB.

Both the phones have a 5MP front-facing camera with BSI sensor, 1080p Full HD video recording. In addition, both of them have dual front-facing stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers.


At the bottom both the phones sport front facing speaker and on screen touch buttons.

Both the devices have a unibody design and HTC logo at the center.

HTC One M8 Eye has a 13MP primary rear camera with dual LED Flash, f/2.0, 28mm lens. A secondary rear camera is also seen that captures depth information. While the HTC One M8 has has Duo camera setup with a primary UltraPixel camera (1/3″ BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 28mm lens, pixel size of 2.0 microns) and a secondary rear camera to capture depth information. It has dual LED flash that automatically selects the right tone and intensity based on the scene.

Both the devices have the microSD card tray and volume rockers on the right side.

While the nano SIM card slot is present on the left side of both the devices.

On the top both the phones have power button.

While the micro USB card slot and 3.5mm audio jack is seen below. The One M8 Eye measures 146.36×70.6×9.35mm and weighs 160 grams while the One M8 measures 9.35 mm thick and weighs 160 grams. Both the devices have infrared remote control and 2600mAh battery.

The HTC One  M8 Eye comes in Gunmetal Gray and Glacial Silver colors while the One M8 comes in Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold colors.
