Opera and Myntra team up to make shopping easy

Opera and Myntra have joined hands in a bid to allow easy shopping to its users on mobile. The popular mobile browser maker has added Myntra to one of its Speed Dial start screen on Opera Mini.

“Everyone loves surfing and shopping on their mobile phones these days. At present, almost 35% of our revenue comes from mobile web browsing, which I believe will soon be the next big driver for e-commerce in India. In fact, mobile internet has made it possible for us to connect with new consumers in smaller cities and towns, where phones are the primary means to access the web.”

said Prasad Kompalli, Chief Revenue Officer at Myntra in an official release.

Kompalli also stated that this partnership will help Myntra reach more users and bring them closer to the brand. Opera Mini is a well known browser in India that works on major feature phones and smartphones. One of the unique features of the browser is its advanced compression technology that shrinks webpages thereby saving data charge.
