[Update] – A Bloomberg report has corroborated that Apple is testing a new type of screen, curved glass and stainless steel materials, and more advanced camera

Just yesterday, schematics of the iPhone 8 has surfaced hinting again at slimmer bezels and other design changes. Now, a latest report from Japanese blog Mac Otakara has shared more details of the iPhone 8.

According to the report, “iPhone Edition” (iPhone 8) will have stainless steel chassis sandwiched between two glass plates. It has been already mentioned a couple of times that the iPhone 8 will feature glass back, a design similar to the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s. This year’s iPhone 8 is expected to sport edge-to-edge OLED displays instead of LCD display.

Moving on, the “iPhone Edition” is said to come with a vertically-aligned dual rear camera for VR shooting purposes. When the iPhone is used in a VR headset, the cameras would be positioned horizontally. Finally, the report added that the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus are expected to be slightly thicker than the current iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

The new iPhones are expected to feature iris scanner, wireless charging and come with other major changes as it is Apple’s 10th Anniversary.
