Nokia Asha 503 leaked, shows off dual shot casing in a press image

The Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi is just weeks away but it looks like all the phones that are scheduled to be launched have already been leaked out. Nokia are supposedly launching new Ashas at the event, as we have seen already with the leak of the Asha 500, and the same leakster evleaks has now posted a press image of the Asha 503. Modeled to look much like the Asha 501, the 503 looks to have a dual shot casing with the outer case being transparent. We saw something similar with the Asha 500 too.

The Asha 501’s only deterrent was the lack of a Whatsapp client but the Asha 500 leak showed that the client is indeed coming along with the phone, and we are sure that stays the same for the Asha 503 where it shows another competing IM cline,t Line instead. There seem to be 6 colour options for the Asha 503, a lot like the 501, but with the glossy translucent cover.

The Asha line is Nokia’s attempt at retaining the low end first time Smartphone user customers. The Asha 501 has proven to be quite a hit, especially in India, and with Whatsapp coming, it might become more viable even as a secondary phone for most of us. Microsoft too have said that they are retaining the Asha name for entry level phones, and will continue to make these phones after the deal is finalized. These phones are scheduled to get Microsoft apps in the future, with plans of Android at the low end now canned, obviously.

We have no more details of the phone at the moment, but assume it will be similar to the 501, but of course, we will be the first to let you know if we find out.
