ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 Photo Gallery

The ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 was launched just a while ago, at a pre-Computex keynote in Taiwan. The 7 inch tablet’s main USP is the price, which at 129$ for the base version is a steal. Coming in vibrant colours, the MeMO Pad has a 7 inch 1280×800 IPS screen with good viewing angles, unlike the ASUS Fonepad. Powered by a MediaTek quadcore MT8125 chip, the MeMO Pad runs on Android 4.2 JellyBean, which is currently the latest version of the popular software. After the event, we were at the presentation area, and we have brought you some photos from there.

The 7 inch 1280×800 IPS display dominated the front with software based Android shortcuts instead of hardware capacitive buttons. This is much similar to the Fonepad. Above the display, you have the 1.2 MP front facing camera but without an ear piece because the tablet is not really geared for calling.

It comes in four colours, with a glossy finish on everything but the black version which is matte.

Over at the back, you have the 5 megapixel rear facing camera, which is, on paper, better than the 3.2 MP unit of the Fonepad. There is no LED flash though. Below, you have the speaker grille.

The back cover is non removable and you have the connectivity and expansion units on the sides. Here’s another quick round up of the specs –
