Apple kicks off App Store Indie Games Week with seven games

Apple has kicked off App Store Indie Games Week, featuring seven independent games for iPhone and iPad.

App Store Indie Games Week

The lineup includes Sifu, Vampire Crawlers, No Man’s Sky, Little Kitty, Big City, 9 Kings, Dome Keeper and Yes, Your Grace 2: Snowfall. Throughout the week, the App Store will feature the games through daily highlights and curated collections.

Sifu

Sifu is a third-person brawler that follows a young kung fu student on a path of revenge. Players face multiple enemies attacking simultaneously and must parry strikes, chain combos and use objects in their surroundings as weapons. The iPhone and iPad versions include custom-tuned touch controls, a reworked camera system and full controller support.

Vampire Crawlers

Vampire Crawlers is a gothic card battler and a spin-off of Vampire Survivors. It replaces the original game’s focus on dodging bullets with tactical deck building. Players battle skeletons, bats and other enemies during chaotic dungeon runs, discover card combinations, uncover secret relics and rely on the luck of the draw.

No Man’s Sky

Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky will make its mobile debut on iPhone and iPad on October 28, following a decade of continuous development. The mobile version includes every major content expansion released to date, including the latest Cosmos update, which allows players to command their own space stations.

The game takes place in an infinite, procedurally generated universe rendered entirely at runtime. Players can explore, trade, fight and survive across an interconnected galaxy.

Other games featured during Indie Games Week

The remaining four games cover open-world exploration, kingdom building, mining and survival, and moral decision-making.

  • Little Kitty, Big City: An open-world game in which players guide a curious cat through a metropolis.
  • 9 Kings: A kingdom-building strategy game in which players assemble card-based armies to conquer rival rulers.
  • Dome Keeper: An alien mining simulator in which players dig for resources and defend against enemies.
  • Yes, Your Grace 2: Snowfall: A game that presents moral choices as players attempt to save a crumbling empire.
