ECOVACS named global No.1 home robotics brand, expands into floor, window, lawn and pool care at IFA 2026

ECOVACS has been named the global No.1 home robotics brand in a newly released research report by Forbes China. The company has expanded its home robotics portfolio beyond floor care to include robotic window cleaning, lawn care and pool cleaning, with its service robots now serving more than 38 million households across nearly 180 markets worldwide.

ECOVACS expands into multiple home robotics categories

ECOVACS describes its approach as “Robotics for All,” with its products covering different household environments. The company entered robotic window cleaning with its first WINBOT in 2011, and more than 1.5 million households worldwide now use WINBOT products. According to IDC, ECOVACS ranks No. 1 globally in robotic window-cleaner shipments.

At IFA 2026, the company is showcasing the WINBOT W3 OMNI with Vortex Wash, an automatic wiping-pad cleaning technology. In lawn care, the GOAT T Series features TruEdge Trimmer and HoloScope 360 Dual-LiDAR Navigation. ECOVACS says its GOAT robotic lawn mowers have covered nearly 1.4 billion square metres of lawn globally, equivalent to around 200,000 standard soccer pitches.

In floor care, ECOVACS developed OZMO ROLLER technology, which is featured on the DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone at IFA 2026. The latest OZMO ROLLER 3.0 combines cleaning pressure with continuous self-washing to keep the roller clean during operation. Since its global introduction in September 2024, OZMO ROLLER-equipped models have reached more than 2.8 million units in cumulative global shipments as of July 2026, according to ECOVACS’ internal data.

The company is also showcasing the ULTRAMARINE L1 PRO for pool cleaning. It is designed to autonomously navigate and clean different pool environments with minimal user intervention.

ECOVACS’ current home robotics categories include:

  • Floor care: DEEBOT with OZMO ROLLER technology
  • Window cleaning: WINBOT series
  • Lawn care: GOAT robotic lawn mowers
  • Pool cleaning: ULTRAMARINE robotic pool cleaners
Technology and R&D

ECOVACS’ technology platforms span robotics, sensing, motion control, cleaning and power management. The company says these capabilities can be adapted across different environments and product categories rather than being developed separately for each category.

Its R&D and manufacturing operations include:

  • More than 900 R&D professionals
  • RMB 554 million in R&D investment in the first half of 2026
  • More than 3,100 patents
  • A vertically integrated R&D and manufacturing model

ECOVACS says this model gives it greater control over key robotics technologies and allows its capabilities to be adapted for new categories and markets.

International growth

ECOVACS reported growth in its service robotics business and newer categories during the first half of 2026:

  • 44.1% year-on-year increase in global service robot shipments
  • 75.1% growth in revenue from new categories in international markets, including robotic window cleaners, robotic lawn mowers and robotic pool cleaners
  • 51% of total revenue came from international markets in Q2 2026, the first time international markets accounted for more than half of its revenue

ECOVACS is showcasing its robotics portfolio at IFA 2026, Hall 9, Booth 113 at Messe Berlin, from September 4 to 8.

Speaking at the event, David Qian, CEO of ECOVACS ROBOTICS, said:

The future of home robotics is not about adding more products. It is about giving people more freedom from everyday tasks. By reusing around 80% of our core technologies and adapting 20% to each scenario, we can bring robotics from floors and windows to lawns and pools. Looking ahead, we will continue to innovate to make robotics more intelligent, autonomous and accessible, helping more people enjoy an easier everyday life.
