Quick Specs

Positioning and snow sports

Both watches use the Sunflower Positioning System with the AI-XDR algorithm for route tracking. HUAWEI says the system provides 20% greater route precision during high-speed snow sports and more accurate route tracking for outdoor runs.

For indoor skiing and snowboarding, the watches automatically track:

  • Maximum speed
  • Average incline
  • Total descent
  • Number of runs
  • Lift and rest times

For outdoor snow sports, the watches include maps covering more than 3,000 ski resorts across 59 countries, with slope names, difficulty grades and lift stations. They can also track turn types, turn count, turn frequency, route and G-Force.

G-Force measures the acceleration and physical load generated during a turn, helping quantify turn intensity and how the forces change during a run.

Cycling, running and workouts

For cycling, users can sync routes from the HUAWEI Health app to the watch and preview the elevation profile and upcoming terrain. During a ride, the watch provides alerts for upcoming climbs and sharp turns, along with key terrain information.

Cycling features include:

  • Distance to upcoming climbs
  • Elevation gain
  • Average gradient
  • Sharp-turn alerts
  • Climb performance analytics
  • AI-powered workout analysis
  • Smart trainer support for indoor training

For running, both models support offline maps and provide metrics such as ground contact time balance, vertical oscillation and running power.

The watches support more than 110 professional workout modes and guided mini-workouts covering 10 body areas through 30 animated movements. Movement-based activities can also unlock city landmark watch faces.

For racket sports, the PickleX mode tracks:

  • Total racket swings
  • Forehand and backhand shot counts
  • Longest rally

Third-party apps also add support for sports such as badminton and football. Workout data can be synced with HUAWEI Health and shared on social media.

Health and wellness

Both watches provide daily health statistics based on sleep, recovery and activity. They include Pulse Wave Arrhythmia Analysis, which uses the PPG sensor to identify potential risks associated with atrial fibrillation and premature beats.

Other health features include:

  • HRV monitoring: Provides heart rate variability data for workout and recovery planning.
  • HUAWEI TruSleep 5.0: Analyzes sleep architecture and sleep stability.
  • Emotional Wellbeing: Tracks 12 emotions and includes a virtual pet for guided breathing exercises. The HUAWEI Health app also offers emotional wellbeing services.
  • Health Community: Lets users view selected health information from connected loved ones, including sleep quality, heart rate and activity levels.
  • Women’s health: Uses vital sign data to estimate periods, ovulation days and cycle information.
  • Diabetes Risk Study: Uses 3–14 days of vital-sign tracking and continuous monitoring to assess diabetes risk.
  • Temperature and UV: Provides real-time temperature and UV insights.
  • Healthy living: Covers sleep, exercise, mood and diet.

Both watches also support hands-free calling and voice notes directly from the wrist and are compatible with iOS and Android phones.

HUAWEI Watch GT 7 Pro-exclusive features

The GT 7 Pro adds dedicated features for golf, trail running, freediving and cardiovascular monitoring.

Golf

The watch provides plays-like distance, including slope-adjusted distance before a swing and exact yardage after a shot.

Golf features include:

  • Automatic green-view rotation
  • Database of more than 17,000 golf courses
  • On-screen bezel scorecard
  • Hole-by-hole real-time scoring
  • Shot trajectory replay through HUAWEI Health
Trail running

For trail running, the GT 7 Pro provides real-time altitude, heart rate, pace and gradient data. It also offers smart alerts for remaining time and distance.

Freediving

The watch supports freediving features including:

  • Apnea tests
  • Free dives to depths of up to 40 meters
  • Hover timer
  • Water-type identification
ECG and cardiovascular monitoring

The GT 7 Pro supports ECG analysis, allowing users to take an ECG reading 30 minutes after exercise by holding the side electrode for 30 seconds. An ECG report is generated directly on the watch.

The Coronary Heart Disease Study uses 3–4 days of day-and-night wear to provide a personalized cardiovascular risk assessment and recommendations.
