Haier Appliances India has launched the F17 Washing Machine series in India, introducing a tilted TFT touch screen with three adjustable viewing angles and AI Wash. The series is available as a washer-dryer with a 12 kg capacity.
The F17’s Smart Flip Screen is a TFT touch display with three adjustable viewing angles of 15°, 20°, and 25°, making the controls easier to view and operate without requiring users to bend down.
The AI Wash system analyses each laundry load based on fabric type, load weight, and stain profile, then recommends a suitable washing programme. It can select tailored cycles for common stains such as milk, mud, coffee, and sweat.
The washing machine combines several wash and detergent technologies:
- Essence Wash: Pre-mixes detergent into an active solution before spraying it directly onto fabrics. Fresh water and centrifugal rinsing then help eliminate foam residue.
- Smart Dosing: Automatically determines and dispenses the required detergent quantity based on the laundry load.
- Stain Removal Wash: Offers 24 specialised modes for stains including sweat, coffee, milk, mud, oil, food spills, and beverages. With a single touch, the machine adjusts the wash parameters according to the selected stain type.
- Steam Wash: Uses high-temperature steam that penetrates fabrics to help eliminate bacteria and mites embedded within them and helps maintain fabric softness.
The F17 also combines washing and drying in one appliance. Its dedicated dryer selection window lets users select the drying cycle according to fabric type and load weight, with settings for delicate garments, everyday wear, and heavier fabrics. The system also helps prevent over-drying.
Other hardware, hygiene, and connectivity features include:
- 525mm Super Drum: Designed to improve water flow and fabric movement, reduce tangling, and handle bulky laundry loads.
- Direct Motion Motor: A beltless motor designed for quieter and smoother operation, reduced vibration, improved energy efficiency, and durability.
- Dual Spray System: Rinses the drum, door, and gasket after washing to help eliminate detergent residue and prevent mould build-up.
- Anti-Bacteria Treatment: Helps maintain a cleaner washing environment.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity: Enables remote control and monitoring of wash cycles through connected-home functionality.
Pricing and Availability
The Haier F17 Washer & Dryer comes in a 12 kg capacity and is priced at Rs. 75,990 in India. It is available at retail outlets across India and through the Haier India website. The washing machine comes with a 4-year comprehensive warranty and a 12-year warranty on the motor.
