Adobe and LinkedIn launch Global AI Training Initiative for marketers

Adobe and LinkedIn today announced a joint global initiative, “AI Essentials for Marketers,” aimed at training marketing professionals in role-specific artificial intelligence skills.

The program offers short-form, social-first courses designed to fit into the schedules of active professionals. The curriculum addresses a rapidly shifting job market; according to data from the LinkedIn Economic Graph, the share of marketing job postings requiring AI literacy skills has increased by 113% year-over-year.

Program Structure and Availability

The initiative features four role-based courses designed by BrandWorks, LinkedIn’s internal team of strategy and creative experts. The curriculum targets four core marketing domains identified through LinkedIn economic data:

  • Digital Marketing
  • Content and Creative
  • Social and Communications
  • Data and Analytics

The courses will be translated into 47 languages and offered free of charge. Content will be hosted on LinkedIn Learning, while expanded learning materials, hands-on experiences, and real-world case studies from corporate clients will be accessible via the Adobe Experience League. Adobe and LinkedIn stated that the content will be updated regularly to keep pace with evolving agentic AI technologies.

Industry Context and Workforce Demand

The partnership combines LinkedIn’s professional network data—which tracks 1.3 billion members and over 71 million companies—with Adobe’s established enterprise footprint. Adobe reports that 99% of Fortune 100 companies currently utilize AI features within Adobe applications, naming clients such as L’Oreal, the National Football League, Publicis Groupe, and Real Madrid.

The initiative transitions traditional workflows into AI-driven frameworks across four key areas: [Content Planning] ➔ [Creation & Production] ➔ [Audience Targeting] ➔ [Data & Insights]

Upon completing the courses, participants will receive certificates of completion that can be displayed directly on their LinkedIn profiles for skills validation.

The program builds on existing corporate education platforms, including the Adobe Digital Academy—supported by a $100 million commitment to scholarships and product access—and LinkedIn Learning’s library of over 2,500 AI-focused courses.

Rachel Thornton, Chief Marketing Officer, Enterprise at Adobe, said:

Marketers everywhere are eager to embrace AI but need the right skills to do it with confidence. AI Essentials for Marketers is about more than mastering new tools; it’s about reimagining what creativity, marketing strategy, and customer relationships look like in an AI-powered era. Through Adobe and LinkedIn’s partnership, marketers can now access hundreds of hours of content, training, videos and expertise from a global community of marketers and technologists who are using and shaping AI and marketing tools and products. Training and re-skilling are top of mind for CMOs, and at Adobe we are excited to partner with LinkedIn to make it easier and faster for teams to learn and train on what’s next for marketing, creativity and AI.

Jessica Jensen, Chief Marketing Officer, LinkedIn, said:

Marketers are navigating the shift to AI, and it is both daunting and exciting. LinkedIn’s labor market report provides insights for marketers to see where the industry is going and to understand the skills they will need to be successful both in their current job and for what’s next in their careers. Together with Adobe, we’re helping make AI skills accessible to every marketer — not just technical specialists — through scalable, practical learning designed for the realities of modern work.
