OPPO India has started rolling out the May 2026 ColorOS 16 update to a wider range of devices. The update introduces new AI-powered features, smoother system interactions, improved connectivity, and additional personalization tools across the system.

The rollout is led by the Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s smartphones. OPPO says the latest version of ColorOS focuses on AI-driven multitasking, contextual intelligence, and productivity-oriented experiences.
Live Space introduces smoother interactions
The updated Live Space feature adds fluid animations designed to create a more responsive lock screen experience. ColorOS 16 also introduces capsule-style notifications that display real-time updates while maintaining a cleaner and less distracting interface.
O+ Connect expands cross-platform connectivity
The latest version of O+ Connect adds instant cross-platform file sharing and connectivity between OPPO and Apple devices. According to OPPO, the feature is designed to support uninterrupted workflows for users operating across multiple ecosystems.
AI-powered organization and productivity tools
The May 2026 update expands ColorOS 16’s AI-based features focused on productivity, personalization, and content creation workflows.
AI Mind Pilot
Integrated within AI Mind Space, AI Mind Pilot uses a multi-model orchestration framework that dynamically accesses AI models including Gemini, GPT, and Perplexity.
The feature is designed to provide personalized real-time responses with contextual accuracy while allowing users to compare perspectives, cross-reference information, and access different insights within a single interface.
AI Grouping
AI Grouping can automatically organize apps and home screen layouts based on categories, colors, or previous layouts for more consistent personalization.
AI Menu Translation
AI Menu Translation can instantly translate menus with contextual dish references and visual assistance to help users understand unfamiliar cuisines.
AI Popout
AI Popout adds support for 4K Motion Collage Popout, allowing users to rearrange layouts and create motion-based visual compositions directly on-device.
AI Scan
AI Scan introduces a paper-to-digital workflow using AI-based document capture and enhancement tools for cleaner document management.
New features and improvements
The update also introduces several new communication, multitasking, and customization features.

- Supports swiping up or down to browse stacked AI Suggest widgets while editing and aligns their visual design with home screen widgets.
- Adds AI-powered summaries for Live Translation with automatic titles and summaries for translated conversations.
- Improves Live Translation with context-aware real-time interpretation.
- Adds AI Recording Sticker support for inserting text and image markers while recording or reviewing audio.
- Improves recording summaries by combining text and image markers to highlight important information more clearly.
- Supports rich visual summaries with images, tables, flowcharts, and diagrams. Supported markets include Belarus, Russia, Thailand, Taiwan (China), Singapore, Hong Kong (China), India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Malaysia.
- Improves App Cloner support with up to three clones of supported apps for work, daily, and entertainment use.
- Adds the LUMO watermark feature for image branding.
- Supports finding apps by color in Drawer mode.
- Improves the Eye Comfort settings page with a cleaner layout and simplified controls.
Rollout schedule
The ColorOS 16 May 2026 update rollout has already started and will continue in phases through May 31, 2026.
The update is being released for devices in the Find X9, Find X8, Reno15, and Reno14 series.
