HUAWEI has launched its AI Glasses, a wearable device that combines smart eyewear design with first-person imaging, AI interaction, and connected features.
HUAWEI AI Glasses
The HUAWEI AI Glasses are designed for long-wear comfort with a balanced structure and lightweight build. The frame uses a golden triangle balance system that distributes weight evenly, while the body weighs around 35.5 g with 6.25 mm slim temples made from lightweight materials.
A titanium alloy constant-force hinge enables adaptive fit adjustment, while a three-sided wrap design improves stability during movement. The glasses also carry an IP54 rating for dust and sweat resistance.
Variants
- Titanium semi-rim optical (Titanium silver gray)
- Full-frame sunglasses (Shimmering silver)
- Full-frame optical (Modern black)
Weight (by model)
- Semi-rim optical: 35.5g (up to 47.3g with lens)
- Sunglasses: 36g (up to 44g with liner)
- Full-frame optical: 35.5g (up to 48.3g with lens)
Each variant uses 52-20–151 or 54-19–151 sizing depending on frame type.
Camera and Imaging
The device features a 12MP super-sensing ultra-wide camera (1/2.8-inch sensor) with support for 4096 × 3072 photo resolution and 1920 × 1440 video at 30fps.
Imaging is enhanced with HDR Vivid support, AI RAW multi-frame fusion, and AI-based composition correction. The system also performs automatic tilt alignment and subject detection for optimized framing.
Key imaging features include 0.7-second quick capture, EIS stabilization with horizon lock, low-light enhancement with portrait lighting adjustment, and Time Travel Journal for activity-based memory creation. Captured content syncs automatically to the phone gallery, and the device includes 64GB internal storage.
AI Features and Xiaoyi Assistant
HUAWEI uses a self-developed AI chip with a dual-engine distributed architecture for real-time processing.
The Xiaoyi assistant supports voice and shortcut activation, enabling hands-free interaction and continuous visual understanding. It supports real-time object and landmark recognition, AI photo Q&A, food calorie detection, and contextual video-based interaction.
The system also enables low-volume interaction at 47 dB, with noise filtering for improved accuracy in different environments.
Smart Features and Use Cases
HUAWEI AI Glasses extend beyond imaging into everyday smart functions. They support HarmonyOS smart home control, voice-based tasks such as calls, music, alarms, and scheduling, and real-time translation across Chinese and 20 languages.
Additional features include smart broadcast for travel updates, look-to-pay functionality, and first-person live streaming. Users can also switch camera modes between glasses and phone during video calls for shared viewing.
Audio, Connectivity and Controls
The audio system uses dual open-ear sound units with HUAWEI Histen tuning. A three-microphone array with DSP, MCU, and NPU processing enables clear voice capture even in environments up to 80 dB.
Connectivity includes Bluetooth 6.0 and Wi-Fi 6 with a distributed dual-band antenna system, supporting dual-device pairing and multi-device connectivity.
Connectivity improvements
- 250% signal transmission improvement
- 120% signal reception improvement
- 200% faster Wi-Fi response
- 61% improved call range
- 3 dB better anti-interference
Controls combine touch gestures, temple swipes, and physical buttons for volume, calls, media control, AI access, and camera functions.
Battery and Charging
The device is powered by a 258mAh battery, delivering up to 9 hours of music playback, 8 hours of calls, and 78 minutes of live streaming. Charging supports USB Type-C and magnetic contact charging. A full charge takes 45 minutes, while a 10-minute charge provides up to 3 hours of music or around 200 photos. Usage while charging is supported.
Sensors, Storage and Build
The glasses integrate ambient light, proximity, Hall effect, accelerometer, gyroscope, and capacitive sensors for adaptive functionality.
They include 64GB internal storage and support wearing detection, dual-device Bluetooth connection, and multi-device connectivity. Materials vary by model, combining PA frames, PMMA lenses, β-titanium trims, and titanium alloy hinges for durability.
