Lumio has announced the Vision 9 (2026), its latest smart TV designed to address slow and lag-heavy viewing experiences with the tagline “Fast. Fluid. Flagship.”
The launch comes as the smart TV segment increasingly focuses on performance, speed, and reliability. Lumio states that the Vision 9 (2026) builds on its performance-first approach with upgrades across display, sound, and content discovery.
Lumio Vision 9 (2026)
The Vision 9 (2026) is based on four areas: Performance, Display, Sound, and Software. It uses Lumio’s Boss Performance architecture, integrating processing, memory, storage, connectivity, and OS optimisation.
The TV is powered by MediaTek’s Pentonic 700 chipset, paired with 3GB DDR4 RAM and faster storage. The company states that this setup delivers up to 2x performance compared to other TVs, along with Wi-Fi 5 connectivity.
For gaming, the TV supports native 4K resolution at 144Hz and up to 240Hz at 1080p. It includes Variable Refresh Rate (48–240Hz) and Auto Low Latency Mode with 9.7ms input lag. HDMI 2.1 with FRL support up to 48Gbps is also included for high bandwidth gaming.
On the display side, the 55-inch and 65-inch models feature a QD MiniLED panel with local dimming and up to 800 nits peak brightness. It uses an EVA (Enhanced VA) panel designed to improve contrast, black levels, viewing angles, and reduce light bleed. The TV offers a native contrast ratio of up to 7000:1 and dynamic contrast up to 100,000:1.
Key features:
- DOPE 2 picture engine with HDR tuning
- Delta E < 1.9 colour accuracy
- Over 100% NTSC and up to 82% Rec.2020 colour coverage
- TLDR 2.0 with 34 new AI-driven features
- Trending Top 10, curated collections, and unified ratings
- Smart search with language, genre, and platform filters
The TV supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG formats, along with customisable picture modes and improved shadow detail for balanced visuals.
For audio, the TV includes a 50W DGS 2.2 system with a hexa-driver configuration, consisting of dual subwoofers, dual full-range drivers, and dual tweeters. It delivers bass down to 38Hz, rated at up to 2x more than the previous generation. Dolby Atmos support is included, and tuning is designed to maintain clear dialogue during scenes with background sound.
Quick Specs
Lumio Vision 7 (2026)
Lumio has also updated the Vision 7 (2026) series, which will be available in 43-inch and 55-inch variants. The new version includes 64GB storage, which is 4x higher than the previous generation, along with faster performance. It also adds a satellite port that enables access to up to 540 free TV channels via Free Dish.
Project Neo
Lumio introduced Project Neo under Lumio Labs, focused on simplifying content discovery. The feature allows users to interact with the TV through messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram. Users can send links or text queries from their phone instead of using on-screen input.
For example, users can share a video or send queries such as “movies where the villain wins.” The system processes the request, identifies content availability across platforms, and creates a watchlist on the TV.
