SHARP Business Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of SHARP Corporation, Japan, has launched a new range of window air conditioners in India. The range includes India’s first window AC with SHARP’s Plasmacluster technology and comes in Ryohu (inverter) and Ryohu-FS (fixed-speed) models with multiple capacities and star ratings.
SHARP Window ACs
The new SHARP Window ACs are designed to perform efficiently even in ambient temperatures up to 52°C, making them suitable for extreme Indian summers. Key features include:
- Twin rotary inverter compressors
- Turbo mode for rapid cooling
- Coanda airflow for uniform air circulation
- 4-in-1 convertible mode to adjust cooling levels and optimise energy consumption
- 100% copper condensers for durability
- Anti-corrosion coatings

The ACs also incorporate the Japan 7 Shields framework, a quality and durability standard from Japan, ensuring reliable performance and safety in India’s challenging climate.
Ryohu Inverter Window AC Series (Top Throw)
The Ryohu inverter series comes in a 1.45-ton configuration with a cooling capacity of 5100W and energy ratings of 3-star and 5-star. It is built for faster and uniform cooling and offers:
- Multiple operating modes: Auto, Cool, Dry, and Fan
- 4-in-1 convertible mode for optimised energy use
- Select models with Plasmacluster technology for bacteria, virus, allergen, and odour reduction
- Touch panel display with LED indicators
- Energy-saving mode
- Auto-restart functionality
- 5-year comprehensive warranty
- 10-year compressor warranty
Ryohu-FS Fixed-Speed Window AC Series
The Ryohu-FS fixed-speed series is designed for reliable and heavy-duty cooling, with capacities from 1.41 ton to 1.70 ton and cooling capacities between 4950W and 5975W. Suitable for high ambient temperatures up to 52°C, it includes:
- Multiple operating modes: Auto, Cool, Dry, and Fan
- 100% copper condensers for long-term durability
- Anti-corrosion blue fin coating and dust filters
- Eco-friendly R32 refrigerant
- Japan 7 Shields framework for safety and reliability
- 5-year comprehensive warranty
Pricing and Availability
The Ryohu FS (Fixed-Speed) starts from Rs. 34,490, while the Ryohu Inverter (Top Throw) starts from Rs. 39,990. The models are available at major retail outlets and online platforms across India.
