TECNO rolls out EllaClaw mobile AI agent powered by OpenClaw in beta

TECNO has announced the upcoming beta testing of EllaClaw, a mobile AI agent built on the OpenClaw framework and integrated with its Ella AI assistant. It is designed for emerging markets and operates at the system level to handle multi-step and long-duration tasks on smartphones.

EllaClaw mobile AI agent

EllaClaw is developed through integration of the OpenClaw agentic framework with TECNO’s Ella assistant. Unlike the standalone OpenClaw setup, which requires technical deployment, EllaClaw is accessible directly within the Ella assistant without a separate entry point. It functions at the system level, enabling task execution across apps and services.

Key features

  • One-Sentence Automation: Executes tasks such as scheduling and file management from a single instruction, including natural or ambiguous inputs
  • Multi-step and long-duration tasks: Supports execution of complex workflows over extended durations
  • System-level operation: Works across apps for task execution and automation
  • Cross-app data integration: Connects SMS, calendar, notes, and other apps to aggregate information
  • Smart SMS summary: Categorizes messages, highlights priority items such as banking alerts, bills, and travel updates, and identifies messages that can be deleted
  • Daily schedule assistant: Aggregates calendar events, notes, real-time weather, and a personalized news briefing via secure web search into a daily summary
  • Persistent memory system: Learns user preferences and usage patterns over time
  • No separate entry point: Available within the Ella assistant interface

TECNO states that EllaClaw includes privacy safeguards. User data is isolated and not accessible to unauthorized users or third parties.

Availability

The EllaClaw beta will be available in the coming months. Users can apply through TECNO’s official online channel. Additional details regarding beta-user recruitment are expected to be announced.
