Whirlpool of India Limited has introduced the Whirlpool Xpert Care front-load washing machine range featuring Ozone Air Refresh Technology.

Certain garments, including delicate clothing, occasion wear, and lightly worn outfits, often do not require a full wash; however, due to the lack of an effective refresh option, they are commonly washed again, which can lead to fabric wear and colour fading over time, the company said.
It added that the Xpert Care range includes an ozone-based refresh cycle to address this gap while continuing to support regular washing requirements.
Ozone Air Refresh Technology
The Whirlpool Xpert Care range uses Ozone Air Refresh Technology, which refreshes garments without water or detergent. An in-built ozoniser converts oxygen into ozone, which is released into the drum to break down odours and eliminate bacteria before being converted back into oxygen at the end of the cycle.
The technology has been tested for up to 50 continuous ozone refresh cycles on dry-clean-only fabrics such as blazers, sarees, trousers, and sequined garments, with zero shrinkage and zero colour fading reported during testing.
The Ozone Air Refresh cycle removes up to 99.9% of bacteria, allergens, dust mites, and viruses and eliminates odours, including cigarette smoke and cooking smells. It is intended for garments worn briefly, post-event clothing, and clothes taken out of storage.
Wash Performance
Alongside ozone-based refreshing, the Xpert Care range supports standard washing cycles. The machines are designed to remove up to 100 types of dried stains, including red wine, tea, coffee, mustard, chocolate, mud, and shoe polish, without manual pre-treatment.
Fabric Care and Convenience
The Fresh Care+ function helps reduce odour formation and creasing for up to six hours after the wash cycle ends. It operates through periodic drum movement and steam release when clothes are not removed immediately.

The Whirlpool Xpert Care Front Load Washing Machine range is available through offline retail stores and online platforms in India. Pricing starts at Rs. 24,500.
