Canon India launched the EOS R6 MARK III full-frame mirrorless camera and the RF45mm F1.2 STM lens. The EOS R6 MARK III succeeds the 2023 EOS R6 Mark II, featuring a 32.5-megapixel sensor, enhanced performance, and professional video recording capabilities. The RF45mm F1.2 STM is Canon’s widest-aperture non-professional RF lens, offering a natural perspective on full-frame cameras and a 72mm equivalent focal length on APS-C models such as the EOS R50.
EOS R6 MARK III
The EOS R6 MARK III supports high-resolution shooting with flexible cropping, capturing detailed images even from distant subjects. It features pre-continuous shooting, recording up to 20 frames before the shutter is fully pressed in RAW, C-RAW, or HEIF formats. Autofocus enhancements improve subject tracking in challenging scenarios, allowing precise focus on moving subjects.
The camera includes the Register People Priority function to prioritize pre-registered subjects during group photography or videography. It retains the EOS R6 Mark II’s durable body and improved ergonomics, with enhanced button customization for handheld vertical shooting.
Exposure and color monitoring are available through waveform, false colors, and zebras, while AWB Response and Shockless WB smooth white balance transitions. Creative tools, including 14 Color Filters and Slow & Fast Motion modes, assist with video grading, motion capture, and versatile workflows.
The camera supports professional video recording with 7K 60p internal RAW, 3:2 Open Gate 7K 30p RAW, and simultaneous MP4 proxy or 4K DCI Fine sub-movie recording. Recording formats include Canon Log 2, Canon Log 3, HLG, HDR PQ, and support for Cinema EOS Custom Picture (CP) profiles with LUT import.

RF45mm F1.2 STM
The RF45mm F1.2 STM is compact and lightweight (~346g), designed for low-light shooting and smooth bokeh. On full-frame cameras, the 45mm focal length delivers a natural perspective, while APS-C cameras achieve a 72mm equivalent suitable for portraits, street photography, and close-ups. The lens maintains edge-to-edge sharpness at f/8 and uses PMo aspherical lens elements with STM technology and magnetic detection for accurate focusing.
