realme just introduced the GT8 and GT8 Pro smartphones at an event in China, as it had promised.
Display
The phones feature a 6.79″ 2K 144Hz Sky Dome OLED flat screen with 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, and 360Hz four-finger sampling rate. It uses Q10 + BOE Custom Luminous Materials offering up to 7000nit peak brightness, 2000nit global brightness, 1000nit manual maximum brightness, 4000nit Sunlight Display pfferomg 2x the brightness in bright light, for clearer and more realistic colors when using the phone outdoors.
These have full-brightness hardware-level DC dimming, Hardware-level 1nit ultra-dark display, and True Color eye protection, eye protection mode with a yellowish screencast.
Performance
The realme GT8 series is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. The phones pack 7000mm² Ultra-Coverage Cold Front Cooling VC, largest VC in realme’s history, with a coverage area 30% larger than the previous generation, accurately covering every heat source.
There is graphics chip R1 supporting super-frame and super-resolution for more than 100 games, with clearer image quality and lower power consumption. The GT Performance Engine advanced matching scheduling, supports “Open World Mobile Games” native 2K+120FPS. This supports native 144Hz high frame in 5 popular shooting mobile games.
The phones feature Dual 1115E symmetrical speakers, N’Bass bass enhancement, full-cavity structure, and a surging sound field. 0816 AAC TOP-level Ultra-Wideband Pulse Motor motor, third-generation ESA ultra-wideband technology, more powerful, more exciting vibration, and adapted for 4D vibration in games.
Design
The realme GT8 Pro draws inspiration from the concept of assembly and brings a “new mechanical assembly design” – the industry’s first detachable, assembleable and replaceable Deco, allowing you to experience the fun of assembly on your mobile phone.

Camera
realme has partnered with Ricoh Imaging Company, so the realme GT 8 Pro will be the first device to feature a camera system co-engineered by the two companies, incorporating features from Ricoh’s acclaimed GR series.
At the heart of the GT 8 Pro’s new camera system is an ultra-high transparency lens group, co-developed to meet official Ricoh GR optical standards. According to the announcement, this lens has been engineered to deliver high anti-glare performance, increased resolving power, and minimal distortion, ensuring clarity and purity in captured images.
The realme GT 8 Pro features a dedicated “Ricoh GR Mode,” which includes a customized user interface designed to replicate the operational feel of Ricoh GR cameras. Key features of this mode include:
- Fast Operation: The mode offers a fast startup speed and incorporates the signature shutter click sound from the Ricoh GR IV camera.
- Snap Mode: This function allows users to preset a specific focus distance, enabling quick, sharp captures without the need for autofocus.
- Viewfinder Mode: For an unobstructed view, this mode hides all on-screen settings, allowing users to focus solely on framing their shot.
To provide users with creative flexibility, the GT 8 Pro integrates several classic Ricoh GR features. The camera system offers two signature full-frame equivalent focal lengths: 28mm for capturing wider street scenes and 40mm for a more focused perspective on specific subjects.
The device also comes with five exclusive “Classic RICOH GR Tones”: Standard, Positive Film, Negative Film, Monotone, and High-Contrast B&W. For further personalization, a “Customized Tone” function allows users to adjust effect parameters to create their own unique styles.

Battery
The realme GT8 series packs a 7000mAh second-generation Titan battery, paired with 100W (GT8) / 120W (GT8 Pro) light-speed charging for 100% charge in under 45 minutes and the Pro model also has 50W wireless flash charging that takes just 15 minutes to charge the phone up to 50%.
The GT8 series have Sky Communication System with Sky signal chip S1, so cellular game signal is improved by 25%, and playing games is also smooth and smooth under weak network conditions, and it supports N79 and 21 global 5G frequency bands.
The phones run Android 16 with realme UI 7.0 on top and come with IP66 + IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
