Meizu has introduced Meizu 22, the company’s latest top-end model in China, as it had announced. It packs a 6.3-inch 1.5K 1-120Hz LTPO panel with support for AOD (Audio-Dedicated Display) technology, local peak brightness of 6000 nits.
The screen includes “RuRan Eye Protection Technology,” a full-link eye protection solution with hardware-level low blue light and full-range DC dimming. The screen border is 1.2mm and the width is equal on all four sides, setting a new record for the appearance of Meizu flagships, said the company.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, boasts a 4500mm² VC liquid cooling system. It packs a 50MP wide-angle OV50H 1/1.3-inch sensor with OIS, 50MP ultra-wide camera with 2.5cm macro, 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera with IMX882 sensor, 15cm telephoto macro, OIS and a 50MP front-facing camera.
It also features Flyme AIOS 2, which introduces the new Small Window Mode 5.0, Game Assistant, Call Assistant, and Smart Travel. There are AI features such as AI Drawing, AI Filters, one-click pedestrian removal, glare removal, and moiré removal. It also includes Flyme Auto 2, a car-machine connectivity system, and Flyme Link, a hands-on and car-car connection.
The device also features a built-in mEngine Super Sense X-axis linear motor, integrated hidden infrared intelligent control, and a UWB digital key. It also has IP66 and IP68 dust and water resistance certifications. It also features a borderless super antenna architecture, a wraparound antenna layout, mSmart SNS technology, and 4×4 MIMO quad-antenna technology for enhanced signal performance.
The phone houses a 5500mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging. In addition to the standard version, there is a Return to China Flagship Limited Edition, which provides customized UI and back cover design, as well as fleet-themed accessories and metal commemorative plaques.
