Apple has introduced the Apple Watch Ultra 3, featuring two-way satellite communication, advanced health insights, 5G connectivity, expanded fitness features, and the largest and brightest Apple Watch display ever.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 features a titanium case in natural or black, paired with a new LTPO3 wide-angle OLED display—the largest on any Apple Watch. The display has 24% thinner borders, improved brightness at wide angles, and a 1Hz always-on refresh rate that shows a ticking seconds hand, updated watch faces, and Waypoint navigation with a live compass and Night Mode.
Built for strength and sustainability, Apple Watch Ultra 3 features 40% recycled content, including 100% recycled cobalt in the battery and titanium in the case. Its 3D-printed case halves raw material use, production relies entirely on renewable electricity, and fiber-based packaging is fully recyclable, aligning with Apple’s 2030 carbon neutrality goals.

The watch comes with a collection of new bands for enhanced style: Trail Loop featuring reflective yarn, new Ocean Band and Alpine Loop colors, Hermès En Mer bands in additional shades, and the Scub’H Diving rubber band with a titanium buckle.
Connectivity and Battery
It supports 5G connectivity for faster downloads and features the most accurate GPS in a sports watch. It offers up to 42 hours of battery life in daily use, extendable to 72 hours in Low Power Mode, with fast charging providing up to 12 hours of battery in just 15 minutes.
Satellite Communication
Apple Watch Ultra 3 introduces built-in satellite communications to keep users connected off the grid. It automatically detects severe falls or car crashes and can send messages when off-grid. Key features include:
- Emergency SOS via satellite to text services and notify emergency contacts.
- The watch allows Messages and Find My location updates over satellite, all secured with end-to-end encryption.

watchOS 26 Features
watchOS 26 introduces the Liquid Glass design, Smart Stack hints for easier app access, improved Messages with Live Translation, and a one-handed wrist flick gesture to quickly dismiss notifications. It will be available from September 15 and supports Apple Watch Series 6+, Apple Watch SE 2+, and all Ultra models.
