Update: Nothing has now confirmed the launch of Nothing Ear (3) TWS earbuds on September 18th. The teaser shows a curved design for the earbuds.
Earlier: Nothing has started teasing the launch of Ear (3), the company’s next flagship True Wireless Stereo earbuds, as the successor to last year’s Nothing ear.
The company switched to Ear naming scheme after the Ear (1) and Ear (2), now the company is going back to the original numbering scheme based on the feedback.
“Skipping ahead to Ear (4) would only create confusion, especially for new customers, so we landed on the solution that brings the most clarity and consistency,” says Andrew, Head of Global Smart Products Marketing.
The Ear (3) could feature a significant upgrade to a dual-driver system, a technology found in many high-end True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds. We can also anticipate enhanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and a more natural-sounding transparency mode, along with improved battery life.
Nothing is expected to maintain its signature transparent design for both the case and the earbuds. A much-requested feature that may finally make an appearance is the addition of swipe volume controls on the earbuds.
With the launch anticipated for late September or early October 2025, more details should become available in the coming weeks.
